TV Cable & Wire Concealment in Austin
A TV can be mounted perfectly level and still look unfinished if the cables are hanging down the wall. Cable concealment is its own skill: knowing which cables are rated to go inside a wall, where a recessed outlet is legal to add, and when a channel is the honest answer instead of forcing a fish where one should not go.

Our approach
How we do it
In-wall routing to a recessed outlet
A low-voltage in-wall rated cable kit carries power and signal down to a new recessed outlet near your console — nothing exposed on the wall face.
Cat5e/Cat6 and HDMI runs included
Streaming boxes, network switches, and long HDMI runs get pulled through the same pass, so one visit covers the whole setup.
Paintable channel where fishing is not possible
Solid masonry, fire-blocked walls, or steel studs sometimes rule out an in-wall run. A slim surface channel is the honest fallback, and it paints to match.
Code-aware, every time
In-wall power kits and outlet placement follow the same electrical code whether it is a rental, a condo, or a house you own.
What it costs
Flat pricing, no surprises
Every option is a flat number, shown in full on our pricing page. Here is what a typical cable & wire concealment job adds up to.
65-inch TV installed with power and HDMI fished inside the wall to a recessed outlet
What to have ready before we arrive
- Know where the console or media shelf will sit so we place the recessed outlet correctly.
- Check your lease or condo rules on opening the wall if you rent or share walls.
- Have every device that plugs into the TV in the room so all cables get pulled in one pass.
- Clear access to the attic hatch if the route runs through the attic.
FAQ
Cable & Wire Concealment questions
Can any cable go inside a wall?
No — only cable rated for in-wall use (CL2/CL3 or plenum-rated) goes inside a wall cavity. We supply the correct-rated cable as part of the job.
Do I need an electrician for a recessed outlet?
We install the low-voltage in-wall power kits used for TV installs ourselves. If your situation calls for new line-voltage wiring or panel work, that goes to a licensed electrician, and we will say so up front.
What if my wall cannot be fished?
Solid masonry, fire blocking, or steel studs can rule it out. In that case a paintable channel is the fallback, and it is a flat, smaller add-on than the in-wall route.
Will this work in my apartment?
In-wall routing needs the property owner’s sign-off in most rentals. If that is not an option, the paintable channel or a surface-mount solution keeps things fully reversible. Apartment & rental installation →
